WINE TASTING

"TURKEY TIME WINES"

SATURDAY,

November 15th, 2008

12-5PM

Think about all the various flavors and textures that make up the venerable Thanksgiving feast. Light meat, dark meat, oyster or sausage stuffing, butternut squash, corn relish, pickled watermelon, cranberry sauce. The list just goes on. Now try to come up with wines that are able to bring it all together. Find the answer for yourself at our tasting this Saturday.

Best Of The New 2008

by Boston Globe

COSMOPOLITAN EASTIE A welcome change from East Boston's abundant Italian and Latin American eateries, 303 Cafe serves Euro-inspired caffeine fixes, breakfasts like crab cakes Benedict and Nutella French toast, and light lunches and dinners, including roasted salmon with cilantro salsa. The waffle fries come with homemade tzatziki for dipping, and don't leave without trying the cheesecake. Contributing to the hip feel are rotating art exhibits and spoken-word nights. 303 Cafe, 303 Sumner Street, East Boston, 617-569-3001, 303cafe.com

Dear Wine Enthusiast,

A new kind of wine shop has opened in Chestnut Hill and we would like to briefly introduce it to you. Perhaps the simplest way to say it is a “unique wine experience” but that doesn’t even begin to tell the complete story.

So what is unique about Winestone?

Unique Presentation

The shop has been designed to reflect a modern yet elegant approach to selling fine wine. It features an innovative racking and storage system that showcases the wine in a whole new fashion. All of the components within the store have been selected to create a stimulating and enjoyable shopping environment. We just ask that you keep one important thing in mind when you see the store for the very first time—a great-looking wine shop doesn’t necessarily translate into high prices, at least not at Winestone.

Unique Selection

Winestone takes great pride in finding new and perhaps lesser-known wines that represent high quality and value. Just because you don’t see all of the common, mass-marketed brand names doesn’t mean that there isn’t a wine that will work just as well, given the style and price point. We taste and are familiar with all of the wines we purchase and comfortably stand behind them. Although Winestone specializes in wine we also feature a handpicked selection of spirits including Cognac, Armagnac, Grappa and Eau-De-Vie. You will also find a spectrum of fine sake. If you have a favorite bottle of wine and don’t see it on our shelves just ask and we will try our very best to get it for you.

Unique Service

The staff at Winestone possesses substantial experience when it comes to recommending a particular bottle of wine. Every bottle is like a good book. It has a story to tell and we would be glad to offer the introduction. It is up to you to “read the chapters” as you pull the cork and enjoy the wine with your favorite food. Speaking of food, our background from the fine-dining restaurant industry provides guidance with wine and food parings. We love to cook and while we can’t stand next to the stove with you, we can set you up for success with a great bottle of wine. Winestone can also help you dress up a bottle of wine with creative gift-wrapping to give to your friends, colleagues, or business clients. Delivery is available upon request.

We sincerely hope that you will enjoy visiting Winestone and look forward to taking you on a virtual journey through the vineyards.
